The Buwanume Parish located within Kamuli, Uganda is a remote rural community with little contact with the outside community. They are a very poor community with the majority being widows and orphans. Most people within the Buwanume Parish are unable to finish Primary School due to lack of funds and financial support. Most people within the community survive through agriculture and farming yet do not know how to correctly care for their animals or benefit from their products and therefore earn very little. There are no opportunities available for the improvement of skills or the standard of living available to the people of Buwanume Parish. After considering the needs of the Buwanume Parish it is apparent that the most beneficial solution is to build and run a demonstration farm to educate the community on how to correctly rear livestock. The project would target the women (teenage mothers) and youth, up to 35 years of age, within the community as these make up the vast majority of the population. Because of the lack of funds and financial support to the Buwanume Parish it is necessary for the funds for the project to be raised. To be able to accomplish this we ask for the support of your company or organization, a trusted individuals and reputable organization, to back the fundraising venture, coordinate the funds, and supervise the expenditure.
WIP has been very kindly offered many items consisting of tools and machines from Tools With a Mission, that WIP would like to use to train local teenagers so that they can learn a trade and become productive members of the community. However in order to ensure the receipt of these goods WIP has to raise some cash to cover the shipping costs of the goods which are being transferred from Europe. If you would like to donate to WIP in order to help us initiate this scheme please use the donation button on the side of the page. Any donations will be much appreciated.
